So last night a few of us traveled an hour north in search of a remote location absent of any light pollution so we could view the Aurora Borealis. This time around, the atmosphere was supposed to have a massive magnetospheric storm, allowing people to see it as far south as Ohio. I was so stoked to see this, but low and behold the ion levels weren't as high as expected so I was out of luck. After 4 long cold hours, nothing was observed. I did get this beautiful shot though.
