I’ve always been fascinated by history. So, naturally as I became interested in automotive photography, this fascination pulled me toward classic and historical cars, specifically those from the 1930s and 1940s, with their Streamlined Art Deco inspired lines, long bodies and stunning silhouettes. At this period in time, the automotive industry pushed toward larger, more powerful, yet more fuel efficient designs. It was man and machine.
A love for Art Deco architectural design also grew deep within my soul, thanks to beautiful buildings like Cincinnati’s Union Terminal train station, an Art Deco gem that architectural lovers around the world flock to see in person.
This image brings many things that I love and enjoy together: good friends, vintage fashion, Art Deco architecture and yes, the beautiful 1947 Plymouth Sedan.
